With the Ferox Freebird touring ski, Black Crows brings a freetourer to the snow whose strengths lie primarily in the downhill. With 110 millimeters under the binding and a whopping 3.6 kilograms of paired weight, the ski outshines its lightweight colleagues, especially in tougher conditions or in the ragged spring snow, and pulls its track unflinchingly, not only in "champagne powder". The special H-shaped 3D construction ensures excellent power transmission, with carbon reinforcements keeping torsional stiffness high and weight low. In addition, the new Isocore, a wood core foamed with fiberglass-reinforced PU, helps push the weight down to a thoroughly tourable level. Certainly, the Ferox Freebird is not one of the lightest representatives of its kind, but with this ski you do not make any compromises in terms of riding fun. The rocker in tip and tail in conjunction with the camber profile under the binding provides a lot of turning pleasure, with good edge grip and stability even at high speeds.
