The strength comes from the internal frame (subframe) located just beneath the surface of the silicone rubber coating (patent pending). This subframe not only provides incredible strength and stability but also eliminates the need for a bulky outer plastic frame, as required by other masks. The lenses of the mask are secured in a stainless steel holder, which adds extra strength to the nose protection area of the mask.
