Product details

The Crest is perfectly positioned in the mid-weight range between heavier, certified freetouring bindings and extremely lightweight racing models. For a binding to be successful in this category, not only is low weight crucial, but also the provision of a lot of functionality per gram.

And this is where the Crest excels. Weighing in at 280 grams, it features the cam-release system, which is likely the centerpiece of many ATK bindings. The very short rear binding head offers great stability despite its compact design, along with adjustable frontal and lateral release. Additionally, entry is possible with minimal pressure even at a high Z-value.

The Crest also provides length adjustment, which is important for precise release and to protect the binding when the ski flexes.

Furthermore, the Crest includes a robust ski brake, 20 millimeters of adjustment range, a climbing aid, and a very easy entry into the pins.

Aside from the Fritschi Xenic (without a brake), no other binding on the market (except for other ATK bindings) offers as much functionality at a weight of 280 grams.

Currently, it is easier than ever to save weight on the binding without significantly compromising ride performance. The Crest 10 is the prime example of this. For instance, compared to the ST Rotation, it saves 300 grams per foot, which is substantial. Removing that much weight from the ski would completely change the riding experience.

Einfachere, etwas abgespeckte ATK-Tourenbindung, die nicht ganz so überzeugen konnte wie die R12. Bei dem Preisunterschied ist es eine Überlegung wert, sich die R12 anzuschaffen.
