ATK Bindings Crest 10

The Crest 10 is perfectly positioned in the mid-weight range between heavier freetouring bindings and extremely lightweight racing models. For a binding to be successful in this category, not only is low weight crucial, but it must also offer a lot of functionality per gram. Easy operation and good stability are, of course, essential.

And this is where the Crest 10 excels. Weighing in at 295 grams, it features the cam-release system, likely the centerpiece of many ATK bindings. The very short rear binding head provides significant stability despite its compact design, along with adjustable frontal and lateral release. Additionally, entry is easy even with a high Z-value, requiring minimal pressure.

The Crest also offers length compensation, which is important for precise release and protecting the binding when the ski flexes.

Furthermore, the Crest 10 includes a robust ski brake, 20 millimeters of adjustment range, two climbing aids, and a very simple entry into the pins.

Aside from the Fritschi Xenic (without a brake), no other binding on the market (except for other ATK bindings) offers as much functionality at 295 grams of weight.

Currently, there is no easier way to save weight than with the binding, without significantly compromising ride performance. The Crest 10 is the prime example of this. For instance, compared to the ST Rotation, it saves 300 grams per foot, which is substantial. Removing that much weight from the ski would completely change the riding experience.
