The height difference between the heel and the forefoot is 0 millimeters (zero drop), so your foot sits like barefoot in the Lone Peak 9+. The balance work is left to your foot, promoting the fitness of your musculoskeletal system. Despite the barefoot concept, the lightweight shoe is absolutely designed for movement in the terrain. With the cleverly positioned lugs of the Vibram Megagrip outsole, you have excellent grip on both wet and dry surfaces at all times. Additional eyelets on the instep allow for a customized lacing adjustment to fit your foot shape. There is a covered Velcro patch at the heel for combining with the separately available Altra Trail gaiters.
