Fast and comfortable on the trail. The improved Lone Peak 9+ Men’s from Altra is a trail running shoe that places particular emphasis on a natural fit. To give your toes plenty of room and allow them to stretch out freely, the toe box on Altra shoes is nice and wide. The height difference between the heel and the ball of the foot is 0 millimetres (zero drop), so your foot sits in the Lone Peak 9+ just as it would barefoot. Your foot is left to maintain its own balance, which helps improve the fitness of your musculoskeletal system. Despite the barefoot concept, this lightweight low-cut shoe is designed specifically for off-road running. Thanks to the cleverly positioned lugs on the Vibram Megagrip outsole, you’ll have excellent grip on both wet and dry surfaces at all times. Additional eyelets on the instep allow you to customise the lacing to suit your own foot shape. There is a covered Velcro patch on the heel for use with the separately available Altra Trail gaiters. All in all, the moderately cushioned Altra Lone Peak 9+ Men is the ideal trail shoe for you if you enjoy running fast and energetically on the trails whilst appreciating the natural movement of your feet, combined with unrivalled grip and ground feel.
