In English, "Gems" means gemstone. The Alpina Gems is our freeride gem: unique, lightweight, and valuable – a true treasure for the head. Particularly striking about the Gems is the scattered hole pattern structure, which allows for effective ventilation. This feature benefits all freeriders during sweaty ascents or sunny mountain weather. Naturally, the active ventilation can also be operated while wearing gloves. For additional protection in the backcountry, the deep coverage in the back of the head and the hybrid shell construction help to distribute the impact force from incoming objects.
