Product details

The Rock DFS II GTX by Aku is a technical approach shoe that is well-suited for versatile outdoor activities such as via ferratas, mountain hikes, and light climbing. Thanks to the waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, it offers reliable protection against moisture, while the breathable design ensures a comfortable foot climate.

The upper material is made of durable suede, textile, and abrasion-resistant microfiber, equipped with a robust rubber protection that shields the shoe from rapid wear. The asymmetrical midsole made of EVA and PU is based on the AKU Elica Natural Stride System, which supports the natural rolling motion and promotes biodynamic efficiency.

With the Dual Fit System, the shoe offers a customizable fit: a traditional lacing system provides maximum comfort during approaches, while the precise quick-lacing system offers optimal support and sensitivity when climbing. The Vibram sole, featuring a climbing-specific design, ensures optimal grip and slip resistance.

The Rock DFS II GTX combines stability, protection, and adaptability in a lightweight, technically advanced design. A reliable multifunctional shoe for demanding tours and adventures in the mountains.

Instead of one, the Aku has two overlapping laces: one for knotting and one for tightening. The second is intended to improve the fit on the forefoot, for example when climbing. Because the lacing doesn't reach far forwards, this only works to an average extent. Not bad, because you feel less secure in the Aku in alpine scrambling terrain anyway than in the low mountain range, where it delivers a strong...
