With the Alterra II GTX from Aku, you don't always have to walk in the middle of the path, yet the shoe feels most comfortable on moderate, medium-length tours in mixed terrain.

To keep your feet dry in the rain or during river crossings, the hiking shoe is equipped with the proven and waterproof GORE-TEX More Seasons technology. This is integrated into the shoe and ensures optimized breathability. Sweat in the form of water vapor can escape to the outside, allowing you to feel comfortable in your shoes in any season and weather.

Additionally, the upper material made with the AKU AIR 8000 system has up to 11.5 times higher breathability compared to other GORE-TEX shoes.

The Vibram sole is known for its outstanding grip and stability on various surfaces. It offers maximum safety and impresses with high durability.

In combination with the Internal Midsole System (IMS3), the exoskeleton structure, where the midsole consists of an outer skeleton made of polyurethane and is raised at the back to surround and protect the heel, provides optimal support and stability while walking. The asymmetrical structure, with a wider inner part and a raised area made of polyurethane, supports the midfoot while preventing overloading and thus pronation.

The Elica System ensures unique wearing comfort. It shapes itself according to the foot's sole, supports the natural inclination of the heel and forefoot, and thereby reduces impact and strain. The asymmetrical lacing system, combined with the GORE-TEX stretch fabric tongue, provides good hold and optimal wearing comfort.
