The fabric that resists wear. The concept on which IvyTex is based has been used in the industry for years in high-stress areas where moving parts need to be protected from wear. ABUS leverages this idea and applies it as a coating for chain locks. This not only increases protection against abrasion but also shields the bicycle from damage caused by the chain. In addition to durability, other features support the IvyTex technology: the high-tech fabric is long-lasting and highly flexible. It is weather-resistant and impervious to liquids. For example, water does not get absorbed by the fabric, keeping the locks protected from corrosion. Therefore, there is no reason to avoid securing the bike in unfavorable weather conditions out of fear of dirt.

Das ABUS Ivera Chain 7210 wird mit sehr stabilen Schlüsseln ausgeliefert, zumal auch der Schutz vor Korrosion prima ist. Weiterhin sind die geringen Schadstoffwerte positiv aufgefallen. Der Schutz vor Diebstahl könnte hingegen besser sein, zumal die Bedienung des Schlosses nicht optimal gelöst ist.
