Product details
The absoluteBLACK Carbon Piston Press Tool allows for safe and precise retraction of hydraulic 4-piston brake calipers when changing brake pads. The tool evenly distributes pressure on both pistons simultaneously, preventing damage to sensitive ceramic pistons or seals that can occur when using screwdrivers or other improvised tools. With its flat and uniform force application, the pistons are pushed back into the caliper in a parallel and centered manner. This reduces stress on the seals and prevents misalignment of the pistons, making pad changes easier and ensuring clean maintenance of the braking system. The tool is made from a carbon fiber reinforced polymer with titanium hardware, providing high stability at a very low weight. Weighing only 13.5 g, the tool is suitable for both the workshop and on-the-go in a tool or bikepacking setup. It is ideal for maintenance, service, and quick brake pad changes on modern 4-piston disc brakes.
