The Heatbox Pro really is a super appliance. I've been using it five days a week for three years. Unfortunately, a defect occurred yesterday: A pole on the contacts for the lid has melted, causing the message "Lid not closed" to appear constantly and the appliance is therefore no longer functional.
You need the shave off the seam that holds the vessel in place. This will lower the lid a little and the messages of "Lid not closed" will stop.
