The description says that the device is battery-operated. Does it not have a cable? And if not, what kind of batteries does it need?

This is very unusual, because the Xiaomi air purifier does not need a battery to clean the air. The devices all have a 2-pin power connection. And the power consumption is also very low, but the filter performance is very high. My guess is a translation error. There is also no compartment where you can insert batteries.
Is with power cable no battery.
