Is there any plastic or rubber material on the inside of the kettle where the water is boiling? Thanks!
Yes, on the underside of the water lid. If you do not overfill the kettle, the boiling water will not come into contact with it, but the water vapour produced by heating the water will drip from the underside of the water lid into the hot water.
