Question about Kuhn Rikon Black Star

I bought this model about a year ago and I am quite happy with it. But, reading the various comments, I now have a doubt. Is this pan made of iron, steel or cast iron? Another question: the bottom of the pan (now cullotated) which was originally black is now 'steel grey'. I conclude that there was a coating. On the manufacturer's website it says "Made in Switzerland, this iron pan without coating...". What about it? I must admit that I don't appreciate erroneous descriptions, when one buys this kind of product for specific reasons.
