The unit has 3 adjustable levels for the amount of water sprayed and 3 levels for how much the plaster strips should overlap. Hence the relatively large range specified by the manufacturer. By the way, this refers to the area that can be plastered (!) If you subtract the areas used by beds, cupboards, chests of drawers and other furniture from the surface area of the flat, as well as bathrooms and balconies, which you usually prefer to clean by hand anyway, you often end up with only half the surface area that the Braava actually has to clean.
