How fast does this appliance go until the cheese is "cooked"? We have an older appliance from another brand and it takes ages for it to heat up and for the first cheese to be eaten, even though it has 1200 watts.

Without testing and with good heating, I would say about 2-3 minutes. Feels very fast.
