How does the Electrolux Pure A9 vs the new Philips Series 3000i compare? From the product specifications, both machines look very similar. I only see the modular filters of the A9 as a big difference. Does anyone have any comparative experience? Which device cleans better? I am looking for the better device for a pollen allergy sufferer.

I don't know the 3000i, but I know the A9 from an allergy sufferer's point of view:
Forget the modular filters, we use the Allrounder, which is included and it already makes a big difference.
Put it in the bedroom and you feel like a new person ;-)
Only the stupid lighting in manual mode cannot be deactivated, we covered it.
