The hose is only intended if you do not want to collect the water in the container. I have not mounted the hose, but I have to empty the container every 2-3 days.

First unscrew the "cover" (one ring) at the rear. Then remove the rubber plunger, which otherwise seals the hole in the ring if no hose is installed. Then feed the hose through the ring. Screw the ring with the hose back on. The hose is now firmly attached to the appliance. I would put the plunger to one side if you want to undo this. But you are not quite finished yet. Because the course of the hose is important. To ensure that there is no backflow, it must never go upwards (no incline). Otherwise it will back up at the lowest point and block the drainage through the hose. This then causes the water to end up back in the tank.
