Hello, how does the appliance behave when it is connected to an external timer? So, as soon as the power is switched on, it starts the same programme as when the power is switched off? That way you could just air the living room every night and have the kitchen odours removed. Would mean one less app and one less account if you could operate the thing with a simple timer. Merci :-)

When using an external timer, the Philips Series 4000i AC4236/10 appliance will automatically revert to the last operating mode when the power is switched on by the timer, unless it was configured to be switched off.
- If the appliance is switched off and then switched on by the timer, it will start in the last operating mode used, be it manual mode, automatic mode or a specific mode such as night or turbo mode.
Using a timer would mean that you could operate the device without the Air+ app and a corresponding account, but you would miss out on some of the smart functions and remote control options. The app offers additional functions such as real-time air quality monitoring, fan speed adjustment based on room conditions and integration with smart home systems.
Thus, a timer could be a simple and practical solution to switch the device on and off at a specific time, but it would not utilise some of the advanced and automated functions of the device.
Why an external timer? The device itself has a timer function that can be used to switch it on at a certain time and off at another time. Such a "scheduler" can be configured with the app. I therefore recommend working with this internal timer and not switching it off completely with an external timer.
