Does this cast iron pan need to be baked? Based on the comments here, I am very unsure. Sometimes it says the pan has already been baked in, sometimes there are people who have baked it in four times.
You don't need to. You can pre-cultivate it. It will become knobbed over time. Never scrub the bottom of the pan when washing with a hard brush. Hot water, a drop of washing-up liquid (optional) and a soft brush are all you need.
Pre-heat the pan to low-medium heat.
Before storing, wipe the pan with a paper towel soaked in oil to prevent rust.
My 2 cents
Again with a good oil because of the packaging and other residues.
Otherwise the manufacturer would have pointed this out.
baked again it is even better--never again another pan
Burning in again with a good oil is certainly not a bad idea
You don't need it, it's already top branded
The pan comes baked from the factory, but many people repeat the process themselves.
