And can the machine be connected to a normal water tap (+ waste water into the toilet or bathtub), or does it need a specific connection?
What do you mean by a "normal" tap? The hose has a female thread at the end which is screwed onto the tap (this usually works). I think the drain can simply be inserted into a siphon underneath the sink or placed in the bathtub.
