According to the description of another size of this pot, I read a heat resistance of 250C. In this case, is this pot not suitable for baking bread, as it is usually baked around this temperature (240C), whereas a Le Creuset, for example, can be heated more strongly (up to 280C)?
We also bake bread in the cocotte. We preheat the oven with the cocotte to 240/250 degrees. The bread is then baked with a lid for the first 15 minutes, then without a lid and at a lower heat. Works great!
I also use mine for baking bread. So far, I have not noticed any problems with it.
