The Yaxell RAN carving knife is particularly well-suited for carving meat, but it is also versatile for other uses. The finely crafted Damascus design of the blade is made from 34 layers of stainless carbon steel, which are forged onto the stainless core made of VG 10 steel on each side of the blade. This results in a Damascus appearance with a total of 69 layers.

The handle is capped with a stainless steel end, providing additional stability. The handle is made of robust linen micarta with a wood-like appearance. The blades are secured in the handle with two stainless steel rivets.
