Diamond Grinding Bands Grit 180 & 1500

You will receive a grinding band with a grit of 180 for initial grinding and a grinding band with a grit of 1500 for finishing. These are compatible with the WorkSharp Knife and Tool Sharpener as well as the Ken Onion Edition.

Worksharp recommends the diamond grinding bands only for sharpening ceramic blades. However, steel knives can also be sharpened, although the bands will clog relatively quickly with grinding particles and need to be cleaned regularly. These grinding bands are excellent for grinding and sharpening very hard "super steels" such as CPM-S110V due to their diamond coating. The wear on the bands when used with steel knives noticeably increases compared to when used with ceramic knives; nonetheless, the bands are exceptionally durable, provided they are cleaned regularly and excessive pressure is avoided during grinding.
