The word "casserole" comes from the Latin term for ladle – this handy pot with a handle was used, for example, for the goulash cannon. Small dishes, milk, and soups can be quickly reheated in it. It is also practical for creams and puddings. While one hand holds the handle – as the hollow handle does not heat up while cooking – the other hand can whisk in the pot. In a casserole, sauces can be reduced over low heat, which can then be dosed and poured without dripping over the spout. If something burns, leftovers can be easily removed from the bottom – thanks to the high-quality materials made of stainless steel or Silargan. Of course, WMF casseroles are dishwasher safe and suitable for all types of stoves, including induction. The pots come in a rounded shape or with straight walls, with or without lids, and with diameters ranging from 10 to 24 centimeters.

The cookware was developed in collaboration with the design office NOA Aachen, and the lid design was inspired by Apple's iPod MP3 player. Made of stainless steel and silicone, the lid has four different functions – reminiscent of the iPod's control wheel. This is practical because depending on the position, liquids can be poured out completely or controlled with the lid closed: the large strainer openings allow cooking water to escape while keeping the pasta in the pot. The same applies to the small strainer openings for rice. The closed position is intended for low-water cooking, while the open position is for fully draining liquids. The red ring on the lid is a real eye-catcher. Made of heat-resistant silicone, it always sits securely on the pot. Importantly, the hollow handles do not heat up during cooking, making pot holders unnecessary. The pots feature an inner scale for easy measuring of liquids and are made of indestructible Cromargan®.
