The WAGO Weather Station provides data from connected weather sensors, such as temperature, precipitation, wind speed, and brightness, within a network for further processing and display on a visualization or management system.

Additionally, it offers central functions such as weather protection and glare protection automation.

The weather protection is designed to prevent damage to external sun protection devices (blinds, awnings, fabric shades, etc.) caused by wind, rain, or icing. An optional dynamic wind monitoring feature is available, which selectively ensures and improves protection against wind damage based on a specific wind analysis for the object.

The sun position-dependent glare protection automation (louver tracking) ensures maximum daylight supply in the rooms while simultaneously avoiding glare. For this purpose, the WAGO Weather Station calculates the exact position of the sun, measures its intensity using connected brightness sensors, and cyclically adjusts the position of the blinds. An optional shading correction further optimizes daylight supply by taking into account shading from surrounding buildings and vegetation based on a specific shading analysis for the object.

The WAGO Weather Station consists of a web-based application software and a modular I/O system. In addition to easy commissioning, the design as a system distributor with the WAGO connector system WINSTA ensures quick and secure installation.
