In this spirit, our stoneware collection Thomas Nature, with its three color variants "Sand," "Water," and "Leaf," focuses on closeness to nature paired with functionality. Thomas Nature is a purely natural product: the starting material, a high-quality stoneware paste, is left in its natural composition with quartz and feldspar, which gives the final product, fired at 1,280 °C, its visual vibrancy.

Goodbye chemistry - the color glazes are based on pure natural pigments. The color glazes are made without the addition of any chemical additives. The manufacturing process is done in a traditional, handcrafted way. Plates, cups, and bowls are made manually with the help of plaster molds and templates. Each item is hand-dipped and glazed, which allows the color glaze to vary from product to product, giving each item its unique appearance.

Thomas was founded in 1903 by Fritz Thomas in Marktredwitz, Upper Franconia. Rosenthal acquired the porcelain factory "F. Thomas, Marktredwitz" in 1908. In 1960, porcelain production was moved from the Marktredwitz plant to the newly built "Thomas am Kulm" factory in Speichersdorf/Upper Franconia, whose facade was designed by Italian architect Marcello Morandini with geometric patterns.

Thomas is the brand for design-oriented and uncomplicated tableware for everyday use. The products are functional and simple, with versatile usability. Through its differently oriented product series, Thomas covers a wide range and has a solution ready for every taste and customer request.
