Rinse the cutlery under running water after meals to remove coarse food residues. Never leave used cutlery sitting for an extended period, as adhering food particles can damage the material. Long soaking times can also have a negative effect and often leave stains. Always place the cutlery in the dishwasher with the handles facing down, using the cutlery basket. This allows the water to rinse the individual pieces effectively, and reduces the risk of them scratching each other. Foreign rust can transfer to the cutlery from non-stainless steel items washed together. Empty the cutlery from the dishwasher promptly after the cleaning cycle is complete, and dry it with a lint-free cloth if necessary.
