Rinse the cutlery under running water after meals to remove coarse food residues. Never leave used cutlery sitting for an extended period, as adhering food residues can damage the material. Long soaking times can also have a negative effect and often leave stains. Always place the cutlery in the dishwasher with the handles facing down and use the cutlery basket for this purpose. This allows the water to rinse the individual pieces well, reducing the risk of them scratching each other. Foreign rust can be transferred to the cutlery from non-stainless steel items being washed together. Empty the cutlery from the dishwasher promptly after the cleaning cycle is complete and dry it with a lint-free cloth if necessary.
