The colander itself is made of flexible, heat-resistant and food-safe silicone, which encloses a sturdy metal ring with ergonomic handles on the upper edge. The kitchen colander can thus be skilfully folded and shrinks to less than an eighth of its height once the work is done. Thanks to its choice of material, the sieb.up colander is not only useful for washing salad and herbs, fruit and vegetables over the sink, but can also be used for straining cooking water or as a steamer or steaming insert in a pot.
