Tynn Silk Mohair is, as the name suggests, our thinnest Silk Mohair yarn. It is a soft and luxurious blend of the finest mohair, wool and silk. The yarn is thin and has a long running length. Tynn Silk Mohair creates light, airy knitwear with a luxurious touch. If Tynn Silk Mohair is knitted together with other qualities as an additional yarn, the knitted piece will have a striking look and good support at the same time.Mohair is the wool of the Angora goat. The hair of the Angora goat is long, silky smooth and curly. To give the yarn strength and volume, it is mixed with conventional wool. The silk adds strength and lustre when the fibres are brushed. This results in a soft, light and airy yarn with a fluffy appearance. For machine washing, we recommend washing all wool pieces separately in the wool wash programme to treat them as gently as possible. Spin dry gently and dry the garment flat, preferably on a towel. Never wash hand-knitted items in a laundry net/wash bag. This creates friction which can cause the item to become matted.
