Rosenthal TAC Gropius The porcelain series TAC from the edition Rosenthal Studio-Line comes from the creative mind of someone who must be counted among the most famous German designers of the 20th century. Born in Berlin, Walter Gropius became known worldwide primarily as the founder of the State Bauhaus in Weimar, as well as its director, and the Bauhaus style was to influence millions of designers in the following decades. Plain and simple forms of pure and white porcelain represent the basic character of TAC, sometimes supplemented by light decorations, which give this porcelain series its very own character. Contrasts are created by the possibility of playing with individual black or colored porcelain pieces and cleverly integrating them into a coffee table or evening table design.
