Rosenthal Junto

Dishwasher-safe porcelain. In this decor, the colors are fused into the glaze at over 1000°C. The glaze softens during this process, allowing the decor to sink into it. As a result, it becomes indestructible in color and brightness, and is scratch- and abrasion-resistant. However, gold decorations are not completely resistant to scratching due to the natural properties of the materials. This decor has been tested by the Institute for Materials Science. It can be safely cleaned in the dishwasher.

Junto - Glaze. The production of the Junto collection follows an extremely elaborate manufacturing process. All items are made from natural raw materials, and particularly the glazing process gives the series its own unique style. The porcelain glazes for Junto are special in-house developments by Rosenthal. Instead of transparent glaze, all items are fired with colored glaze, resulting in their extraordinary coloration. Depending on the applied layer thickness, the colored glazes allow the white porcelain body to show through more or less, creating diverse visual effects on the fired product. This glazing technique results in the characteristic hand-glazed look typical of all Junto porcelain pieces, an intentionally artisanal appearance with unique color gradients that do not indicate a flaw in the product.
