With the chestnut pan made of black enamel, you can easily roast chestnuts (sweet chestnuts) over an open fire as well as on gas and electric stoves. Here's how to roast chestnuts in the chestnut pan: Score the rounded side of the chestnuts crosswise with a sharp knife or chestnut cutter. Place them with the scored side up in the chestnut pan on the stovetop or over an open fire and roast for about 15-20 minutes over high heat. Shake the pan occasionally.
