The champagne glass is perfect for revealing the complex characteristics of champagne. In this glass, the wide range of aromas can unfold. Unlike a flute, the egg-shaped bowl promotes the growth and intensification of the complex layers of champagne. The wider rim allows these aromas to be released, which is not achieved with a narrow glass. The glass also features a point of effervescence that encourages the formation of champagne bubbles. As part of the Performance series, this shape was newly developed in 2018. Riedel Performance is the first wine glass series in the world to offer glasses with a subtle optical effect. This effect further enhances the tasting experience.
