The material is a tightly woven fabric in a plain weave, giving it a subtle ribbed texture. The cotton yarns have varying degrees of thickening, which is due to the nature of the cotton fiber. This results in a grainy, firm feel. The lightweight, fine fabric is easy to care for and simple to work with. Due to the plain weave, it is relatively durable and is perfect for blouses, tops, and dresses. Trousers and lightweight coats can also be sewn from it.
