Brabantia steam control

An absolute "must have" for steam irons. We have tried two ironing boards with our Philips perfect care steam station. After already two shirts, it dripped at the bottom. In addition, the ironing boards were full of drops at the bottom. With plates this would still go but on parquet this is an absolute "nogo".
The quality is also otherwise convincing. It is rather expensive but well worth its price. It is better installed than many others and if this also holds 15 years like the old one, the price is perfectly fine. It is to date (without Laurastar complete station) the only ironing board that I know, which does not drip below and yet the steam comes through well and not one in the face. Perfect.

Wide ironing surface, firm stand, condensation is cleanly led into the container, good workmanship. A well thought out and satisfactory product.

Wide and stable. Tefal Pro X-Pert Plus GV8977 has good space in the basket for the steam iron. We switched to the top ironing board with the Tefal iron after 18 years / 3 Laurastars. Fortunately, we did not get another Laurastar. With this combo, ironing has become even much better and faster than with the Laurastar, although the ironing board does not blow or suck.

The steam station support is made of plastic and is held in place by rudimentary metal tubes. This support is notoriously unstable in the upper position (absolutely necessary, e.g. with Philips) due to faulty design; i.e. it can come loose unexpectedly when ironing, causing it to fall into the lower position. This harbours the risk of the steam station either falling or being damaged.
