Unusable .... Hands off!
From the manual: "Fill the tank with tap water or distilled water".
ONLY works with distilled water, otherwise the whole room will be covered with fine dust. Wouldn't like to know what the fine dust means for a baby ...
I have checked the hygrostat with 2 separate meters, the hygrostat in the humidifier is useless ...Pro

Would be good if it didnt leak and drip down to electrics
First, the machine leaks from the top component, and water runs down the outside of the container eventually reaching the bottom where the cable is connected and resulting in a puddle of water dangerously close to the electrics. If it didn't leak it would be perfect. I purchased 2 identical products and had the same issue with both. triple-checked the manual to ensure fitted correctly.

Large and relatively loud
The humidifier has a hygrometer and switches on and off automatically to reach or maintain the target humidity. Unfortunately, it is relatively large, inelegant and loud (distracting when sleeping, in my view). I would rather opt for a quieter, smaller model without a hygrometer.
