Way too expensive here, for once Digitec Galaxus is completely overpriced on this one. A new and full cylinder is cheaper at SodaStream. Then, as soon as you have 3-4 cylinders, the easiest and most practical way is to go directly to the official SodaStream shop and exchange the cylinders in the mailbox. This is what I have always done, a full 60l cylinder costs almost half as much. You drop the empty one in your milk box and they (DPD usually) come by within 2 days to pick up the empty one and drop a full one.
I do it 2 by 2 with the exchange offer of two cylinders for half price, unbeatable!

It is a 60L canister. So makes 60 liters of water at low sparkling level. High sparkling level is about 40L according to soda stream and also more accurate according to personal experience as i like it with alot of sparkle. So thats between 40x 1.5L bottles (6.5 six packs) and 26.5x1.5L bottles (4.5 sic packs). Its cheaper than branded water but more expensive thank ‘ discouter’water. Main benefit is less carrying and less pet bottles and the post box refill exchange delivery that sodastream offers is also fantasic.

Just asked at the Migros customer service desk today and found out about it. Seems to be a bit of a hassle as officially it is not a deposit but a "rental".
In short: If you still have the certificate (prerequisite), then you will apparently receive a partial rent of CHF 10.00 back at Migros from next week.
Normally, you would have to contact Sodastream directly (but they will deduct CHF5/year used from the rent paid). However, you will get at least CHF10. - will be refunded.
The deposit is included in the purchase price. The deposit is approx. 35.- Fr. I don't care about the amount of the theoretical deposit, I want to keep the bottle and be able to exchange it each time to refill it.

60 litres of drinks, depending on how much fizz you want it can be more or less. From experience, 60 litres is a good guide. We consume about 2 bottles per day and fizz until the pressure relief valve gives way (max. carbon dioxide content), one cylinder lasts for about 1.5 months.
