I would buy a Brother CS10s or Brother FS40s today. I have a Singer Mercury myself, which is a bit old-fashioned and not as good as a Brother, but it also works.

The ingredients are sufficient for very simple sewing. I would recommend a different model for a professional seamstress. Very light cloth cover, only for dust protection.
