According to the instruction manual, there is a button to open the lid. Unfortunately, I can't find the button. Without the button, it is difficult to open the lid. Where is this button?

I have exactly the same problem. I can only open the lid with difficulty. It's true that you can open it. But it's not what you expect and doesn't correspond to the description.

Does it come with a Swiss cable and plug? I.e. no adaper, no external cable

Yes comes with a Type-C or Type-J plug. It fits into Swiss sockets.

Why does it have a German plug on the cable in Switzerland and therefore you can't use the device! At least I would have expected an adapter in the packaging!

Does the product have a CH plug, or is the kettle supplied with an EU adapter?

It is an EU plug, but a fix adapter is included.
