Hey Yveshubeli The stone itself does not have an open flame, so it does not burn through the wood (only the wood could become thinner). It is best to put it in with a stove rag (2x-3x) or stove gloves (thick ones). I have another version of a hot stone and it works wonderfully, just preheat the oven and then put the stone in. It's best to try it out because not all stones need the same amount of time to reach the right temperature Greez KingRaven90

Glass dish and white bowl washed in dishwasher - no problem.

We were not so satisfied with the product. The stones cool down too quickly. If you are very hungry, you have to heat the stones several times.
