The C3 is slightly larger and more compact, the accessories can be stored inside the hoover and it vacuums slightly better on carpeted floors than the C2.
We weren't sure either, so we returned it and opted for the MIELE Complete C3 Cat & Dog Hardfloor PowerLine.
I think yes, we have a cat and it sucks well.
