In my experience, Kuhn Rikon products last at least as long as advertised. The uncoated pan is like a cast iron pan in terms of longevity, just with different properties, 10 years is modest here. Now the coated must be used with pans that are also coated, as this coating does not last forever. Often no additional guarantee is given on pans and Kuhn Rikon itself also gives shorter ones like 3 years. If it is guaranteed for 5 years even for intensive use, it is a positive sign. It is best to compare with pans from other brands (and of the same type).
