We have a large window that we can't clean ourselves because of the location, so we bought the Winbot. It cleans quite well, but at the start and end points and around the edges it leaves traces that you have to clean again. And when the sun is shining, you can see the tracks the robot has made. So if you want 100% clean windows, you either have to do it yourself or hire a professional from time to time.
I feel the same way. In my opinion, it is not possible to replace the battery yourself. It is probably stuck in the thick part of the power cable between the Winbot and the power supply unit. This seems to be stuck.
This window cleaning robot does not come with a cordless battery. It runs on mains power via a power cable, and the built-in battery is only used in the event of a momentary power cut to prevent it from falling out.
It must always be connected to a power source, it does not have a battery. But if it also screams when it is connected to the power supply, then that's not good.

The Winbot W1 Pro can clean glass panes with a tilt angle between 60° and 120°. An angle of 45° is outside this range, which is why the robot cannot work effectively at this inclination. If the tilt angle is too shallow, the Winbot may not work properly, turn in circles or trigger an alarm.
What do you mean by PA?
We are very happy with this appliance. The Winboot has enough suction power to stick to the window. The app can also be used to set the amount of cleaning agent and how often it zigzags the window. For simple soiling, one cleaning is enough, for coarser soiling 2 to several times.
We would buy the appliance again. It's the best investment for cleaning windows.
Yes, window cleaning robots such as the Ecovacs Winbot W1 Pro can also orientate themselves on frameless window panes. The Winbot W1 Pro has Anti-Flare Edge Detection technology, which allows it to recognise edges and adjust the cleaning path accordingly, which also makes it possible to clean frameless windows. However, it is recommended that there is a minimum distance of one centimetre between the panes so that the edges can be reliably detected.
There is no specific information on whether the Winbot W1 Pro can be used in direct sunlight. However, it is important that the window surface is dry and free of dirt to ensure optimal cleaning. Direct sunlight could affect the effectiveness of cleaning as it could heat up the surface and cause the cleaning fluid to evaporate more quickly. If necessary, it is recommended to use the robot in a shaded area or at a time when the sunlight is not so strong.
Yes, the Ecovacs Winbot W1 Pro can be used in a home without Wi-Fi, although certain functions will be limited. Here are the key points:
- You can use the Winbot W1 Pro without a Wi-Fi connection to clean windows, as it works autonomously once switched on and configured manually.
- However, you won't be able to take advantage of the advanced features offered by the ECOVACS Home app, such as remote control, scheduled cleaning and real-time updates via the app.
So, although Wi-Fi is not necessary for basic cleaning, it is recommended for a more complete and personalised user experience.
Start cleaning in the Ecovacs app and then press the Start button on the top of the Winbot. Power On on the bottom beforehand.
When starting, press the Winbot lightly against the window.
It is approx. 3 m in total. However, you will need an extension cable anyway, which is essential for cleaning windows that are higher or difficult to reach
