The practical bias tape makers from Prym allow for the perfect shaping of bias strips of any length to finish the edges of various fabrics or even patchwork quilts. By cutting the fabric strips at a 45-degree angle to the grain of the fabric, the bias tape becomes flexible and can be easily processed even in curves. Once the fabric strips are cut and joined together, the fabric is inserted into the wide opening of the bias tape maker and pulled through. The neatly folded bias strip can be pulled out from the flat side of this handy tool and can be directly smoothed with an iron.
