Mono Ring Cutlery Set 4-piece. What a clever design! In 1962, Peter Raacke created this cutlery set as an artistic experiment, which was already included in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York five years later. The shape follows a modern approach, with neither the knife nor the fork having overly long blades or tines made of stainless steel, while the spoons are nicely rounded. Particularly, the ring at the end of the handle has been a best-seller for decades: this allows knives, spoons, and forks to be hung within easy reach instead of languishing in a cutlery drawer! While Mono produces all metal components of the Ring Cutlery in excellent quality at their Mettmann manufactory, the handle is made of food-safe and dishwasher-safe plastic from nearby Velbert.
