Thanks to a gear ratio of 2:1, juicing is particularly smooth. Lurch invested 2.5 years of development time for the special auger. The special geometry ensures efficient transport of the pressed material with maximum juice yield. As no heat is generated during cold pressing, slow juicing is considered particularly gentle. The feed hopper with a double-chamber system ensures optimum distribution of fruit and vegetables. Hard pressed fruit goes into the left chamber and soft pressed fruit into the right chamber. It is important not to overfill the chambers, including the collection container for pomace and juice.

The auger function is explained in three steps: 1. breaking and chopping, 2. pureeing, 3. pressing.

Juicing with the Lurch Base & Soul doesn't get any fresher, more aromatic, or healthier than this. As a cold juicer (slow juicer), it juices particularly gently with a deliberately slow rotating screw press. In contrast to electronic devices, it works at a low rotational speed to prevent heat generation. This way, sensitive vitamins and secondary vegetable ingredients are preserved, protecting against rapid oxidation.
