The stainless steel knob is used to open the housing and adjust the grind size. The thread of the 30 cm pepper mill is made of stainless steel. The shaft can be easily filled with approximately 115 g of black peppercorns through the large opening. The salt and pepper mills differ only by the stainless steel knob marked "P" or "S."
